From curiosity to code.

Nearly two decades of building for the web. How a teenager's curiosity about the way websites work turned into a career engineering web applications.

  1. 1987

    Born in the Netherlands

    Born in a small town in the southern Netherlands. My generation was the first to grow up alongside the rise of personal computers, mobile phones, and the internet.

  2. 2000–2007

    Drawn to the digital world

    As a teenager, I found myself drawn to the digital world. By the time I hit my late teens, I had already started using my computer skills to earn money online, mainly through graphic design work.

  3. 2008–2016

    Learning to code

    Over time, I became curious about how the websites I was designing actually worked. That led me to HTML, CSS, and JS, and gradually to more complex programming languages and frameworks such as Laravel and Next.js.

  4. 2016–2026

    Full-stack Web Engineer

    With nearly two decades of experience, I engineer complex web applications end to end, from the database and backend to the interface. I call myself a Web Engineer: full-stack development, with a designer's eye for detail.
